what to expect from my classes
I teach holistic slow flow vinyasa classes focused around a sequence of physical asanas (poses) supplemented with pranayama (breathing exercises), yoga nidra (relaxation) meditation and yoga philosophy.

Building core strength
and flexibility
I offer a holistic approach to yoga that builds whole body strength, flexibility and connection with the breath through a sequence of athletic postures. Students leave feeling calm, sweaty, energised and with a sense achievement.
Bespoke to each individual
Each individual student's wellbeing is my priority. The sequences are adapted to meet individuals’ evolving needs, paying attention to specific goals, injuries and energy levels. This ensures classes are varied and students build a range of skills progressively. We explore a new theme each week, and the reflective element allows time to focus inward discovering the body's potential.
I deliberately keep my classes small so that I can give regular and individual feedback to students which ensures consistent progress.
Safe and effective alignment is always prioritised over the pursuit of complex asanas which may put the body under undue stress.
Increased body awareness and reduced risk of injury
Imagery and reflective discussion are techniques used to help students attune to their body's needs to develop more informed, efficient ways of moving.
By adding yoga to a weekly fitness programme, students move more freely and feel more balanced with less risk of injury. This ultimately leads to improved performance levels in other sports and better long-term physical and mental wellbeing.

Connecting body and mind making life feel less stressful
The subtler aspects of yoga encourage students to develop an awareness of the connection between the body and the breath. Using this, they are able to observe and accept how their body feels in a non-judgemental way. By staying present, students spend less time pondering over the past or worrying about the future and the principles of yoga gained on the mat begin to transfer into their everyday life.
Through gratitude and positive affirmations, students accept their body and their life for all the positives it can offer developing more meaningful relationships with work, family, friends, nature and the community around them.
